I think we shouldn't have a guest account feature on AA any longer. Theres been a lot of spam involving guest accounts lately.. Especially in this particular area of the forum, [in phbb3 thing or whatever]

Not sure who it is, but it's starting to bother me.

Plus.. if a guest wants to find something out, they should have to register anyways. Im not even sure what the point of a guest account is..

I agree, guest account have gotten out of control lately and have been nothing but spam.

Thus why I disable guest accounts on my sites

Guests have restricted access. They can only post in a few forums, such as this forum where someone can get help if they are unable to log in. Also, the Prime phpBB3 Modifications forum allows people to test out some of the phpbb3 modifications I created to see if they would like to add them to their phpbb3 board.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, been very busy working on several different projects.

A certain banned user is using guest accounts in the Off topic Discussions and spamming stupid crap in a real topic (posts have been deleted) as well as in the Adult area

I don't see any reports. Can you point them out?

It's the people in the phpbb3 place that annoy me.


And Aoi, there isnt anything wrong with those posts. He's not breaking any rules except Spam.. and in OTD everyone spams. So Idk.

If people are spamming in OTD, then please, report those people. Off Topic Discussion is not the place for spam. Its for meaningful discussions. Or for meaningful discussions that have evolved to something else, but not into spam.

As for guest acocunts being able to even ACCESS the OTD, think thats a little messed up. I think that restricting their accesss a little bit more isnt a bad idea, at least.

All threads go off topic. I get what you mean by true spam, but, taking a topic off topic in OTD isnt a sin. O_o

But I think the guests should be able to access the Anime Release, and this forum only.
My personal opinion.

That's weird, I had OTD set to read only for guests and yet guests were still able to post there. phpBB3's permissions system is very confusing. But I have corrected it so now forums marked as read only for guests should actually be read only.
