Ok, gamers here will have heard of the Dynasty Warriors game series. Most should know it is based on real events of the later Han dynasty of China. Few may also know there was a 1990's TV series of 84 episodes. It's being remade again.

"Romance Of the 3 Kingdoms" is a book based and telling the events of the era, and, to be honest, I'm interested. Book to film transitions can work well, and I'm looking forward to this. Ofcourse, I'm doubting an export, so I'll hafta download it.

The cast so far. I wasn't sure if I should put this here or in VGD, but here will do for now. So, what do other people reckon to seeing their Dynasty Warriors faves being put on the silver screen again? (Please note, this is based on the BOOK, not the GAME.)

lol if you think about all the campigns for each individual character in Dynasty warriors (-.- why would you play all of them...i mean seriously after!?) they really contradict each other... as a tv series RotTK it will most likely be a chinese one(not athat i'm saying it's bad...but i generally don't watch chinese tv shows...heck i don't even watch Pinoy tv shos....though i do enjoy movies from both cultures ^_^)..and quite a few anime are based on this title...

It is chinese. And the video games, while being based on fact, base the idea of "what if?" as it's main content. I mean, in actual fact, Shu die out real quick thanks to Bei's son... but lets not get into that. If you do, start a thread XD But the series is starting with the Yellow turbans, and ending with the Yi family starting the... Jin dynasty, I think it is. A more accurate account than any of the games portrayed.

It's impossible to compress a book of that length into a movie.

It's not going to be pretty.

It says in my post link that it is a TV series, not a flick. I agree though, to do it as a flick would be career suicide
