Kimba the White Lion
1966 & 1989 Series
Remember that cartoon that some people would remember that associated with Speed Racer and Astro Boy? Well, it returns through me to here on AbsoluteAnime.com! The series of 1966; cartoonish, old, and yet something even adults would watch if it ever comes on. And then there's the 1989 series; much more animated, better colors and better animation, as well as more action. But yet, it seems to lead towards darker ways than the original series had. Of course, though, the reason the English version of 'The New Adventures of Kimba' was cancelled is because the Pioneer Company made it to where it was choppy and had cut out a LOT of the episodes. Example is that in the second episode, you see the little white cub in the ocean, talking to the stars as he hears his mother's voice, then it says, 'A few months later...' and the screen switches to a desert scene and Kimba is a little older with a mature voice. Now what just happened there?!! I've seen the Japanese espisodes, and frankly, I'll go to Youtube and watch the episodes in Japanese, since 1) There's only 15 English episodes available in America (that's when it got cancelled), and 2) All the episodes are there. The only thing wrong with watching these episodes is that there's absolutely no English subtitles. So you'll have to guess what's going on.
Does anyone else know of either series? And if you ever want to see the epsidoes of either series, go to Youtube.com and use either 'Kimba the White Lion 1966' or 'The Jungle Emperor Leo 1989' search tabs. Just to be helpful!
