Absolute Anime

What do you think about merging this forum into the Music Discussions forum? Is there really a need to have them split up like this? Seems like it might be more convenient to just have a single music forum.

With neither of the two forums THAT active, it would stand to reason that theres no point in splitting them at this point.

Yea it's about time too. I always thought it was ridiculous to separate all Japanese bands into "anime music" I can name off atleast a dozen Japanese bands just off the top of my head that have NEVER done an anime song.

I agree. That's more or less the reason they were separate to begin with, and I brought up that point when they were talking about the merge before.

I think its a great thing. Personally I think its morally wrong to separate it just because it's Japanese. I guarantee if we separated African music people would have a fit because they'd call it racism. There is NO reason to separate Japanese music from the general music area. if you can talk about German music and Russian music and Spanish music in the general music area you should be able to talk about Japanese music too.

Should I just lock this topic now.. Or.. Do you guys wanna keep talking about how good of an idea it is to merge, and why we shoulda done it sooner? xD

How the frick do you even think about it being racist? This is an ANIME forum last time I checked it was Japanese.

Second I didn't just say Japanese, I said Japanese and foreign music. It has nothing to do with racism, and separating them isn't any form of discrimination because this isn't a judgment upon the Japanese people themselves. Simmer down and stop being such a tightass.
