Name of Anime Series aired on Showtime Beyond in early 2000'

Does anyone remember the name of the anime series that ran on Showtime Beyond in the early 2000's? I remember it had a small martian creature, plenty of fighting and a lot of fire planets. I've searched everywhere to find the name of this series. Any help would be appreciated?
