that only happend twice in the vegeta saga and in GT when bebi vegeta was battling goku

first time the moon was destroyed by master roshi(jackie chun)to turn Goku back to normal.later in the series the moon was recreated by Kami.in dragonball z,the moon was destroyed again by Piccolo to turn Gohan back to normal.Vegeta uses a machine to create moonlight so he can transform as if he would from the full moon.in dragonball gt,it is NOT the moon that transforms Goku,it is the earth acting in place of the moon(i can't remember the exact story behind that one but it is the earth and not the moon)

Well GT was a disgrace to all DBZ fans, so w/e happened to turn him SSJ4 it was a big plot hole, I mean his body and stuff shouldn't have been in that form, because a real SSJ would have yellow hair, that is why that form really isn't considered a SSJ.
