Harry Anders was an MI-5 agent in the service of England. He was doing an independent investigation into the sudden emergence of FREAKs - artificial vampires who, unlike true vampires, possessed none of the moral fiber of the originals. Unfortunately, all his leads had came to dead-ends, mostly because the centers that had manufactured the FREAK chips that created the FREAK were destroyed whenever they tried. So he decided to employ another means... but it meant utilizing a true vampire

Anders had first met Hellsing agent (and vampire) Seras Victoria after an investigation which almost exposed the Hellsing Organization's existence. That first meeting was somewhat hostile, however it ended peacefully. He had known Seras' father, and he let that fact be known to her. He had then taken Seras to the hiding place of Helena, as insurance that the elder vampire wouldn't attack him. Thankfully, Helena was not as vile as the FREAKs, and supplied Anders and Seras with a theory that another true vampire - Incognito - was the template to the FREAK chips.

Sadly, Anders was killed by a bomb in his car, which had gone off after he had let off Seras at her old flat.
