Side Characters

Rin started afetr Jaken and Jaken has been there since the beginning you call him a SIDE character? People like Jeromeru and Kageromeru and side characters. They are there for 1 or 2 episodes and thats it. Characters seen throughout the whole series aren't side characters.

That's not always true. Let's see. I'll use Naruto as an example. TenTen is a side character seen through the entire series.

Ok, EE the princess whose name you wanted to know is Shima.

And let's get this straight: Characters that aren't main characters and play a minor but significant role threw out the whole story, like Jaken, are secondary characters. Characters that apear in just a few eps and have a minor that may or may not influence the whole action or side characters, finally, characters who apear mainly for completion matters, like villagers and Kougas' wolves, for example, are merealy figurants.

Would Ayame be a side character? I'm not sure but I don't think so.

She is probably a secondary character.

yep, secondary, but she was created only for the anime though, she doesn't exist in the manga.

SBut was more relevant that normal side characters, so I guess it's uncertain if she's a side character or a secondary one.

I think she's a secondary. Side characters occur only in like 1-2 episodes that link together eg. episodes 73&74, (sry 4get the word) and Ayame is in like 3 episods BUT they're not together.... eg. episodes 89 &119 (not sure).

Still, I guess it's not the number of eps, but the relevance she has in the story that defines her category, so I'd say, secondary.

Well, she's not too important although she does add some fun to the story (I like Kouga's surprised expression when he remembers him promising to marry Ayame.) Yup, definetely secondary.
