Why are animes rarely on tv sometimes?

Actually there is a couple of anime channels but they are only avaliable in a few countries.

Some cities don't have Comcast (like where I live), but the cable company where I live still does offer the Anime Network

I have Sky and i only got one Amine channel that only show about five or six Amines called 'Anime Central.' or 'Anime Center' I think. And other dower is the channel doesn’t start to 6:00PM.

I don't think so. I have Direct TV and haven't seen it offered. Which is one reason why I'm thinking of dropping Direct TV.

Where I live, you can only get dish... and it's Direct TV or Dish Network and neither have it...
I currently have Direct TV and they have at least 4 stations, other than local, that air anime on a regular basis: CN(we all learned to hate), IFC(surprisingly, not many people look at this station-they air mostly Funimation stuff), Colors(Funimation w/ lots of their advertising-reruns mostly), Stars Action(various)

I find the great plots, characters, drama, some comedy mixed in, and action of anime/manga to be far more entertaining than just flat out comedy. Series like Fullmetal Alchemist, YYH, 666 Satan, and Fairy Tail do a great job at this.

I never understood all the hype aimed at shows like South Park and Family Guy. They were somewhat amusing at times but most of the jokes are just vulgar and crude. I find the comedy in anime and manga much more lighthearted and entertaining.

Shows that focus entirely on comedy try too hard IMO. Anime/manga uses simple situations and character personalities along with great plot to make things comical when needed.

I find flat out comedy to be funnier myself.

The crudeness and vulgarity is precisely what makes it funny IMO
