Yeah, I really liked Beyond Sanctorum and their demo tracks. As for everything that came afterwards, mixing in symphonic elements was a potentially good idea, but I think the results are kind of a mixed bag. Still fairly decent material, though.

Yeah symphony metal is kinda a new genre considering there are not many bands that do it. But some of their songs are really great and some really suck. But for the most part their really good. Something new and refreshing never hurts and like you say its sometime a hit and miss thing but that can be said for any band.

Old Nightwish is really good as well. I know there are a few people who have heard of Nightwish but Therion.. I listen to bands that most kids never heard of haha.. Their missing out. For metal I like this band called Devil Driver ever heard of them?
