Re: U.S. History / U.S. Government / Politics
Salt Lake City is home of the Mormon Temple. I've seen it in person, and it is really a breathtaking structure. XD So yeah >.>

Mormon Temple? A place where Mormons do their worship things???
Re: U.S. History / U.S. Government / Politics
It is a house of worship. But to worship "things" I don't think is the right terminology.

I means worship things as what kind of worship they do, not who they worship.

Oh. That I don't really know. My co-worker is Mormon and she will be going on her pilgrimage soon I believe.

I just know that when guys turn a certain age they got to sell something to other places door to door or something like that.
Re: U.S. History / U.S. Government / Politics
Hm. I never knew that. That reminds me, I found a great article in Time Magazine the other day written by Joe Klien. It's called "Straw Man Dipolmacy." http://www.time.com/time/nation/article ... cnn-topics

What's the story behind that. The America-Iraq thing?
Re: U.S. History / U.S. Government / Politics
No. The story is behind McCain's attack on Obama in regards to (meeting) with Iran's Prime Minister.

Why would Obama want to meet with the Prime Minister of Iran?
( Sorry, clueless on what's happening in America >.<)

It's fine. In this stage of the presidential race, I usually tune out while the parties are fighting amongst them selves to select who will verse who....
Klien wrote, "Barack Obama[if elected President] wants to meet with the leaders of enemy states, especially Iran, "which would increase their prestige," McCain says, and convey the impression of American weakness. To punctuate the point, McCain persistently barks that Obama wants to meet with the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a flagrant anti-Semite but a relatively powerless figurehead. Obama did say during a debate last summer that he would meet with foreign leaders without preconditions."

Ohh..So it's a making the person look bad thing?
Re: U.S. History / U.S. Government / Politics
Yeah. Which, according to Klien, it certainly doesn't hurt McCain in Florida since the Ahmadinejad is an Anti-Semite.
