My Chemical Romance's "whiny" voices give them hotness, but I don't hear any whining in their music, just singing that conveys a lot of emotions that listeners just have to feel. I like it. Gerard Way's voice is hot and MCR's music is just profoundly awesome. One word: Pathos. The song 'Cancer' literally made me cry.

It is possible to convey emotion in your voice without sounding like a whiny, melodramtic pussy.

Seriously, listen to some grunge and see what I mean. Singers like Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, and Scott Weiland can show a shitload more emotion than I've ever heard from Gerard Way, and none of them are whiny in the least.

I actually don't hate MCR (there's a few songs by them that I actually really like) and the lines were more directed at emo as a whole, which I'm not a fan of (and sadly, as a result of emo's popularity, there's not much good hard rock coming out anymore). But seriously, Led Zeppelin is in a whole other league from MCR

F.Y.I., My Chemical Romance isn't my favorite band nor is it one of my favorites anymore. I just like it. I love Atreyu sooo much more. ^_^ B.T.W., Atreyu is way more emo than MCR. Sometimes I just ignore the lyrics and just listen to the way the music sounds, though that's mostly how I like certain bands.. XD
