MGMT

Post by Robbie Hendrix »

I recently got into this band after I heard my friends acoustic version of weekend wars, just wondering about your thoughts on the band.

Heres my friends version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aSSfsWNI5Q

I love MGMT. It's one of my favorite bands. I can't decide what my favorite MGMT song is. >.<

"Time To Pretend" and "Kids" are my favorite, I guess.

I like them a lot, they have gotten a bit overblown though

I've listened to two of their songs, Kids and Electric Feel - and I can say that they're not bad. Not my taste, but not bad.

I got into MGMT a while back, but that was about the same time when Gogol Bordello became a huge thing, and they blew them out of the playing field.

MGMT is pretty sweet though, just got absurdly annoying at some point.
I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a tombstone.
