Best lyrics.

Post by Pennyroyal Tea »

So basically as the thread says.

Which bands/persons do you think writes the best lyrics?

I have a bunch

Bright Eyes with such songs as "Lets Not [censored] Ourselves [To Love and be Loved]

"Bowl of oranges"
"Lover I don't have to love"
"Lua"
"Nothing Gets Crossed Out"
"Travelin Song"
"Road to Glory"
"Hollywood has sex"
"Poison Oak"

The list goes on, very deep lyrics.

Then there's City and Colour

Songs like
"The Death of Me"
"Body in a Box"
"Sleeping sickness"
"The Girl"
"Sometimes"
"Save Your Scissors"
"Hello, I'm in Delaware"
"Against the Grain"

Soft voice, and passionate lyrics speak to you

P.O.S.

With songs like

"Ants"
"That One"
"P.O.S. is ruining my life"
"Stand up (Lets get murdered)
"The kill"

and many more. Hard hitting lyrics that speak to you and inspire you to get up and do something.
Yeah, you were right about me, but can I get myself out from underneath this guilt that will crush me? in the choir, I saw our sad Messiah he was bored and tired of my laments
He said, "I died for you one time, but never again"

Rush. Pretty much all Rush lyrics are good. I'm very fond off "The Fountain of Lamneth" and "Natural Science". There's just something about them that get me all the time. It's like a little mental explosion in my head. Still, I am, [censored], that's big man.
