Tony Hawk Pro Skater Games and Their Soundtracks

If it hadn't been for my sister's game, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, I might have been an absolute n00b about music that didn't circle Final Fantasy. XD Papa Roach and many other artists are some of the best there is, though there's always going to be some exceptions with their songs. Have anyone else encountered music as this way?

Not really, if you get down to the actual music......Papa Roach songs are very simple and are usually only 1-3 chords on the guitar and any amateur guitarist can do that. If you want truely gifted Musician listen to Jimmy Page or John Bonham or Randy Rhodes or Keith Moon. they are amazing

I'll be no guitarist expert. ^^; If anything, I'd be able to follow the beats of the drums and know the pattern. Besides, it's the lyrics that gets me more than the rythm of the music. Most of the time. I'll grant that there's some songs that I just can't stand.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with a little of the good old classics, like Beethoven. Yeah, I love his music pieces. XD;

Stop being such an Elitist. If you look at all the punk bands from the sixties that formed in basements, almost in opposition to guitar crazy bands like Led Zeppelin, and were a different more refreshing taste for example The Sex Pistols and Ramones, none of their songs are exactly guitar masterpieces, look at Sid Vicious, he didn't even know how to play the freaking bass. Because they know what all non-elitist music lovers know, and that is that music is about the message.

I got into several bands via the Tony Hawk series of games. But, the soundtracks started to be crap in THUG 2 onwards :S

And it wasn't Punk in the sixties. It was New Wave. It was only called Punk from the 70's onwards.

Wrong. New Wave was an offshoot of punk that appeared in the late '70s-early '80s with bands like Blondie and Duran Duran

Before it was known as punk, it was usually called trash/pub rock. And few bands were just considered really sleazy glam rock
