why point out that they are commercial if you proceed to point out that it doesn't stop them from being a good band? as for their riffs... some of the techniques they use are some of the more challenging styles of guitar, like the spiffy little riff at the end of "longview". that took me a few days to master and i've been playing for three years. they are hardly another processed commercial band.

I apologize for making a worthless comment about Green Day, a comment which I couldn't backup with a reason....
I just don't like Green Day, I don't know whether it's because I just don't like the music they play... Or that I have no particular reason to dislike them I just do.

I have to agree with FA when she says that Greenday suck. Every single song they have ever released has sounded like the one they released before that (does that make sense?!) Ok, maybe they have had one or two that you can tell the difference between, but generally, I think they should get themselves a new ideas instead of just changing the words to the music!
