Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy

Post by Dark Lilly »

One of my all time favorite Science Fiction works has been made into a movie by Touchstone. Looks promising.

The original was totally British. The books, the BBC Radio play and the BBC TV series that ran here on PBS.

The BBC radoi play was awesome. Should still be available somewhere ...... talk about "voice acting!"

:| I'm only being honest but whether there's gonna be a backlash or not at the least make it come from the heart. Here goes: I say the movie on a Saturday here in Las Vegas and I remember seeing a series that aired on pbs in San Francisco with very by the budget costumes and special effects, but I digress, back to my point: I was bored by it. I got the impression that the results are bland. Very bland. There are some mildly funny bits, like with the Paranoid Android, but even that was suspicious. Overall, it just felt, to me anyway, blase. Been there, done that. No new tale to tell. No glory just another story.... ](*,) :|
Just keeping my eyes open to focus made me very exhausted and weary. [-o< I would rate it a 2 and wait Blockbuster Video to carry it.

Still haven't had a chance to see it. Sigh. From the sounds of it, I may just wait for it to come out on DVD...... or just go back and reread the books.
