Why isnt the horse in it?

hiya evry1!!!

Can anyone tell me why the horse isnt in Fruits Basket? i've always wondered why! all i know is that its a girl because shigure makes a very small reference about her to tohru when he says that kagura is not the only girl in the zodiac there are two more. and i already know that Kisa is one but who is the other!?!

She's called Rin, I think, and she only appears in the manga, I don't know why she dosen't appear in the anime though, it's a shame

There was a lack of funding so the series wasn't continued. It's really quite upsetting. I hope that the animators eventually decide to finish the rest of the series. Yes, yes that would be good. *fantasizes*

Its true it only appears in the manga. It still hasent come out yet so i cant say mutch about her. All i know is that was Harus girlfriend. I think.

yea from what i have read it looks like she will be in the next one (9), they show her at the end of the eigth and my freind who is as much a fruits basket fan as i am said they referenced her a while back saying that akito threw her out a window and thats why she was in the hospital. they say that she was going out with haru:-) Yay for haru! but she dumps him. i cant wait to see what happens next

- on another note- in responce to the funding part as to them not continueing the anime series- i hear there is soposed to be some big convention petitioning them to make a second season, where we make a thousand cranes or something like that. i have to find out more info, has anyone head of it

the reason why both the horse and the rooster is becuase they makers didn't have enough money. The horse name is Rin and just to say somethings about her here I go:
Rin is the horse of the zodiac. She's mysterious and, as of this writing, *very* little is known about her background. She does, however, seem to have an affinity for tight, short, trendy clothing and thigh-high boots ^_~; The vibe I get from her is that she's rebellious, angsty...and she's planning something. Whatever it is, it seems to involve Shigure... Also, Rin and Haru were a couple once, but Rin wound up breaking up with him for an "unknown" reason. Rin was hospitalized for a while, but is now living with Kagura and her mom. Little is known about Rin's immediate family.

and the Rooster is Kureno and here is a little about hime Kureno is (apparently) the very last juunishi to be revealed in the manga. All indications seem to imply that he really is the "tori" or the bird/rooster of the zodiac. Little is known about Kureno other than the fact that Akito likes to keep him away from the other juunishi (they only get to see him on New Year's) and that he is always at Akito's beck and call. It would seem that of all the juunishi, Kureno is the only one that must tend to Akito's needs 24 hours a day! Despite being around the same age as the Mabudatchi Trio, Kureno seems to lack the freedom that they and the younger juunishi enjoy. Kureno hardly ever gets to go outside the Main House and on one of the occassions when Akito did let him leave, he met Uo at the convenience store where she works! As of this writing, there is no available info regarding Kureno's past or immediate family.


And in closeing I would like to say that thes two only appear in the Manga

Rin only wasn't in the anime because she appeared so late in the manga they didn't have any place to put her in the animation. At first I took it personally, me loving horses, but then I read about her and changed my mind, seeing that she was so mean and made Tohru cry.
