Ravenloft (Gothic Fantasy) RP Ch. V "Labarinth"

Lobo sighed and looked at the girl pitufully. "So you regret nothing but giving up yourlife. You're proably right you proably will burn in the 9 hells. That is not for me to decide however. Now if you dont mind in case you havent noticed this body doesnt like to be chained up. Nor do I!" With that this Lobo pulled on the tentacles ripping them from the dark earth they spawned. The tentacles wiggled uselessy, then dissovled back into the shadows. "Fine if you dont want to be helped before you're time comes then I shall stop. Be warned it is not mine nor his fate to kill you. You will be betrayed by that which you most trust. Now if you dont mind i'll be leaving." With that the warm wind whipped around the room once more making it feel like it was out recciving full sunlight without the tainted evil of the ground they stood on. In the middle of this lobo and the girl formed a door even this Lobo wasnt sure where it lead but he knew that fate would take its course regardless. With that thought he opened the door blinding the girl with an intense white light when she opened her eyes him the feeling of warmth and of course the door was gone...

"But you have the capacity, you wish somone dead don't you? you let a child be assaulted and did nothing, even though you could have save her. You chose the lives of creatures who have no love for you over the life of somone who could have grown to care for you." The beastly man said as he drew back his sword. "And now you must chose weather or not you would be willing to kill me to get back to that place where nothing cares for you!"

"I won't let you leave, besides, you swore you would kill me, and I don't take kindly to people who make false threats, and I do not trust anyone, however I would gladly die for my mistress, as she is lord of this land and my service is unwavering." With that she started playing again and a wave seemed to erupt from the bow as many skeletons seemed to come up from the gorund. "This plain was a battlefield, pleanty of the dead to help me fight, I could raise an entire army."

The other Lobo leapt from the door back into the obsidieon throne room. While the inner Lobo was surprised the Lobo that woman had been talking to was not surprised. There was something here, something important. That he could tell he felt it when one half of him entered the room so he could be near the perfect conduaite for his being. This Lobo was pure energy had no form maybe even no name. He knew not everything but merly the events pertaining to this moment and place in time. He-well it actually-cast its eyes around the room looking for something other than the obsideon throne. It was a fnacy decroation but nothing more. Thats when he spotted it the sun was high and before he couldnt see it but know he could for it was relflecting the light. Mirror mirror on the wall. Tell me whats not seen at all. This energy thought smirking. I bet it can show me something that not even I can see though all the evil in this place. Those stairs were a good lillusion until the sprialing eventually made the book destroy the illusion by calling out to him. Now lets see what it has to show The energy within Lobo's body moved towards the mirror and looked into its sleek perfect surface from the side so as not to obscure his view to much and saw...

She stopped moving as his words struck home. It was true... She had disowned the poeple in city, only she knows the woods cares for her. She knows it protects her from hunters... it's her cover her home, her place of reasurance.
"I only kill if I must... I don't see much reason to kill you... I will make it back home though. Them in the forest take care of me and I them. Thy may not be abel to love, but they can help me when I need it. I don't help those in the city because I know I can't help them all... Not even all the goodness in this world can help them! Now I will get home!"
She replied to him as her fear was gone and she remembered why she was there in the first place.

She then stopped running from him and faced him head on. She forgot about her staff still strapped to her back with the vines. She had ensheathedher claws and was snrling at him ready to fight... She wasn't gong to kill him, just knock him out long enough to get out of there and back home...

The moonlight reflected off the mirror after bouncing off of another on the opposite wall, where the usually concealed part met the wall, lobo was struck in the eyes by the beam of light, however when he recovered it seemed to point to a spot on the celing, and then was mirrored down onto the floor again, where it landed on the 2nd stone about 2/3rds of the way to the center of the stone. Just as the sun had progressed along the meter previously, the moonbeam was slowly moving along the stones. Upon closer examination 72 stones existed from the throne to the center of the room, and 16 from there to the wall, seperated by a wider crack.

The beastly man stood in front of Lazuli, striking not wiht his sword, but lashing out with his fist, striking at Lazuli, as if trying to take her alive.

Lobo-or this amassing of pure energy in his body-looked at the stones sprawled out on the floor. "Hmm wonder what its supposed to do." He got closer to the stones. examaining them more crictally he thought he had the answer. "Right the movement of the light is marked by these stones. The further it is the later in the day it is. What does that have to do with anything." Lobo looked critcally at all the stone. Looking for anything that distugines them other than there distance. Sighing he sat in the middle and began to mediate to contact the true Lobo who was trapped in the darkest crevice of his mind. The energy was revorted back to a ball of pure energy. This place was supposed to be only for Lobo. To look back at the good times in his life his little safe place from his sins.

She dodged his first attack,
"What is it with you people and trying to catch me!?"
She shouted at him, then jumped up using his shoulders as a lift point and moved over his head and behind him. She didn't want to be caught or caged... ever again... she jsut wanted to go home...

The light slowly moved upwards on the squares, moving now from one to the next, slowly, still 70 notches between then and the square that held a goden and silver line.

"I want you to join us, so that I don't have to kill you!" The man said as he struck out again, harshly.

The ball of twilight energy neared Lobo it felt a strange sensation. The next thing it knew it was back in Lobo's body no longer in that area of his mind. It couldnt beilive it his wish to be left alone within that happy place was stonger that it. "Well thats intresting. Talk about strong resolution." Sighing the energy stood up inside Lobo's body. It gave another look at the stones only this time he could see the square with a silver and a gold line on it. "Well can't hurt." The energy in Lobo's body walked over to the square and poked it with the twilight fang katana...

Seh saw his hand coming once more. She tried to jump and flip ovre him, but he caught her left foot.
"I don't want to join you!"
She souted at him as she fell to trhe ground in mid air. He was still holding her foot, she clawed at his hand to get him to let go and pushed at him with her other foot.

The floor scratched leaving a white dust behind on the katana.

"You join us or die, I want you to join us." The man said, as he lifted her up into the air, his caloused skin tearing into jsut mroe layers of skin from her claws.

Lobo looked at the katana. "White dust? Ok that doesnt make much sense. Alright then guess I got no choice." Lobo inhaled and struck down full force with the twilight fang katana.

"Why do want me to join you? what do I have to offer you poeple that you go to great lengthes to keep me hree?"
She asked him seeing that trying to claw at him to let her go was futile. She kept squimming though, and looked around teh room for something better to help her make him want to let her go...

The rick tile cracks, causing a bit of dust to plume up, and part of the katana is chipped by the impact with such a hard stone as well.

"You are strong enough to be a minor leader. We want warriors to conquer the humans, and bring the Lord's iron hand to Ravenloft, You could be strong." He then put her down on the ground holding her there to keep her from strugling with one hand "And if you don't I have to kill you."

Lobo looked at the stone angirly. "Finwe then stone you wanna play hard ball I can play hard ball." Lobo forced almost all his energy into a single strike that wedged the katana into the stone he forced the katna to pump its energy into the rock. Forcing the rock to explode revailing...

"I am strong enough now... I don't need to serve someone as evil as her... I do not wish to join you... I wish to be home..."
She told him as she kept trying to get out of his grasp. She never wanted any of this to happen to her. She didn't want to be one of that witches pets... She's stronger then that, she doesn't need to live for ever. That's not one of her wishes... her wish is to get home... To live forever like them would be a hell... she didn't want taht kind of life at all. If she had to die to get out of this hell, then so be it...
