perhaps but isn't it also true that all bands are stereotypical? like lets say you listen to rap. alot of people who listen to rap also talk like there favorite rappers or dress like there favorite rappers. the same goes with punk rock. kanye west [spelling?] even admited himself that people dress like him. why do you think celebritys start there own clothing lines? people always want to look more like people they admire. if you admire MCR, you may shop at hot topic. if you listen to a raper you like you might get baggy clothes.

Hmm...Karasu, good point. But I think you misinterpreted my opinion. I wasn;t saying 12 year old girls who shop at hot topic are there buying MYC shirts, I said they just shop there. They want the punk rock look. IMO, they shouldnt wanting the punk rock look solely bc they listen to a band that is another wannabe punk rock band. MYC is punk band that will release one good song and sink into misery. Listen to their lyrics. Analyze them. You will see what I mean by stereotypical punk rock.

Think of it this way...How many rising bands do you see as punk rock bands?! THERE ARE MILLIONS OF THEM! AND THOSE MILLIONS ARE PRODUCING SONGS THAT ALL RELATE TO THE SAME THING!!!

A good punk rock band that consistently changes and relates to unique things is Green Day. American Idiot faced political and war related issues and was successful. You see many other "punk rocl" bands do this. All bands do this. But are they as successful as Green Day? No. Wanna know why? Because Green Day is fresh with talent and experience and isn't the same.

Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, and The Killers are all great Punk Rock bands. MYC is not.
