Incase you haven'y notice Bulma is very well capable of looking after Trunks while Vegeta follows his dreams. That is the Vegeta that she fell in love with and she wouldn't want him to change.

I know what you mean...but didn't it make his feelings more powerful when he was himself, like when sometimes he wouldn't own up to his feelings for Bulma, Trunks and even Goku but then he always astonished everyone when he came out and said them (making them more powerful and sincere)
