Not unrelated, but did you know they've made a reali-TV series about the show? Bob Denver must be spinning in his grave.

The last episode they made, the cast didn't even know that it was to be the last one, and at that point, they had not gotten off the island. There was a 2 part special later on almost like a made for tv movie where they did finally get off the island. Hope this was what you were looking for :D

Actually, the 2-hour movie had them getting off the island, finding out how things had changed since they were gone...and getting shipwrecked all over again.

And then there was the next Tv-movie starring the Harlem Globetrotters, which had the cast turn the original island into a tourist attraction in which all of them were part-owners. :twitch:
Yeah, by then you knew the franchise was dead and buried.

Yes, I remember those TV movies they tried to jump start the series back up like that. I beleive the actor that played the Skipper Nathan Hale? died some time after that. Not sure if the movie was so bad that's what it did to him or not.

You realize the Proffesor, Ginger and Mary Ann are the last of the cast left alive.
