I just went to a Pink Floyd concert and it was awsome as hell!

...Pink Floyd? They're a good band and all, but exactly what subgenre of metal do they fit into, hmm? :P Anyway, I myself am not a huge fan of nu-metal... But I do like death metal and black metal, with a bit of thrash, doom, folk, viking, and industrial metal thrown in there. 15 of my favorite bands (as far as metal goes, anyway):

Dark Tranquility
Katatonia
Arch Enemy
At The Gates
Mayhem
Celtic Frost
Behemoth
Bloodbath
Fear Factory
Therion
Dimmu Borgir (sellouts or not, I still like their music @_@)
