What to watch

Hello everybody, I'm a fan of anime who is looking to "broaden his horizons" and watch something new. Now I haven't seen a lot of animes but if anyone would like to suggest some then that would help me out a lot. Any kind of anime will do.

Here are a few random titles:

Le portrait de petite cossette - mystery/fantasy/romance genre. About a guy (Eiri) who becomes infatuated with a girl from a painting (Cossette). As the story progresses he becomes more involved with Cossette and learns he has a part to fulfill; This is only a 3-part ova and is actually a pretty bloodied anime; not many would like this as it may seem slow-paced and confusing.

Ergo proxy - Lil mayer investigates accounts of murders and the sudden appearance of a strange being named proxy.If you've seen Ghost in the shell (also highly recommended) and liked it then you will like this one. This is one of my favs as well. This is a dark-psychological thriller with great animation and soundtrack. Great, creative and deep storyline but may require repeated viewing.

Le chevalier d’eon - mystery/horror/fantasy/action; Excellent artwork and intriguing storyline: set in France a nobleman named Eon unravels the mystery of the occurring deaths including that of his sister. Strangely he becomes possessed with the soul of his sister seeking revenge.

Inukami, Mahou Sensei Negima, Great Teacher Onizuka, Mahoraba, Hand Maid May, Chobits, BLEACH, Naruto, Mahoromatic, Getbackers, Rizelmine, Zero no Tsukaima, Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, Tenchi Muyo GXP, XXXholic (sorry but its NOT a hentai), Guyver, Vandread, Karin, Oh My Goddess, Green Green, Sumomomo mo momomo, Kiba, Tokyo Underground, Magikano, Koi Koi 7, Shijou Saikyo, Shakugan no Shana, Busou Renkin, Steel Angel Kurumi season 1, Maburaho, Trigun. I've watched all the ones I listed and they all get pretty high regards. So many of these are so good I can't make a list of my top 5 favorites or even pick number 1, If I could I would wish I hadn't watched these so I could enjoy watching them for the first time. Also here are some helpful websites
animenfo.com- It has a fairly large database and you can use a feature called Anime Match where you sort through all their animes based on date, genre, and number of episodes.
animenewsnetwork.com- even more extensive database but no sort feature, good for double checking the iffy ones found on animenfo.com
anime-planet.com-Very limited database but the ones they do list give good reviews and give five recommendations of animes that are similar.
