Well..I am a bit old school and my taste varies in this catagory of what is supposed 'Industrial' and so forth.

I can't think of the others that are roaming about in my mind...but...at the start..NIN was pretty decent...and then...all of a sudden...Trent decided to complain some more and act more angst ridden than actually "sincere"...so to me...he sold out..and I lost all respect for him.

Oh well. Some need to sell out in order to pay the rent. Heh...

Yeah, I suppose industrial music in the strictest sense is stuff like Throbbing Gristle, FLA, etc.; but there are so many more recent offshoots of the genre, most of which can be hard to distinguish from each other, so it's usually easier to just classify them all under a loose definition of "industrial and related genres," to avoid getting into cumbersome terminology like aggrotech, terror EBM, MinimalSynthNoiseDeathTechAggroPowerElektroTanzMetalRockMuzak, etc.

As for Trent, somehow I doubt he has difficulty paying his rent... I think his more recent material is due to more of a lack of inspiration than selling out.

The "rent" bit was sarcasm...and even then...I never really was a big fan of NIN(only song I found worth listening to was 'Sin' and 'Perfect Drug', which had an awesome video).

I honestly am not a big fan of the music that is being played as of late. Too many bands sounding like other bands and not many bands have the creativity of the bands before them.

I thought Sattelite Radio might give me a better choice of style...but...no. That fails as well. My collection of CD's do me enough justice...and the fact that I normally don't listen to much out of the genre I listed within this section...I guess I could blame my age and just my mindset on that one.

You do have an interesting arrangement on your page and you seem well suited enough to know what it is you are talking about.
