"Ah, I see. But then, isn't that how it is with all fathers? Well, not mine, but, you know how it is, I'm sure." She said, looking around. "Pretty spiffy. Haven't seen many places like this that are still in good shape."

Leopold merely replied in a serious tone, "I'll be sure to give your compliment to the priests who keep it suitable."

He led her up several more flights of stairs before they reached the throne room, where he passed the guards and entered, bowing on one knee to the princess, "Sir Leopold, milady."

She rose, a light smile appearing on her face at the thought of company, "Oh? And who is this?"

He rose on signal and stepped behind the reference, "Lady Koryu, milady. She asks for a place to sleep."

Ivonette's smile brightened as she walked gracefully to Koryu, "I'm more than delighted to let you stay here. My maid's room is unoccupied at the moment as the maid has gone away to visit her mother. You may stay there."

She rose, a light smile appearing on her face at the thought of company, "Oh? And who is this?"

He rose on signal and stepped behind the reference, "Lady Koryu, milady. She asks for a place to sleep."

Ivonette's smile brightened as she walked gracefully to Koryu, "I'm more than delighted to let you stay here. My maid's room is unoccupied at the moment as the maid has gone away to visit her mother. You may stay there."

[Seras]

Aly lifted the front of her skirt up a bit so she woulnd't trip as she walked up the stairs. She walked at a normal pace, not fast but not slow either. She had just arrived back from her mother's house. It was a nightmare. Her sister's had been there. She stood outside the throne room, the gaurds keeping her from getting in. "I'm Aly, Princess Ivonette's maid, back from her trip" She stated to the gaurds. They eyed her up and down, she was still in her traveling clothes(the clothes in the picture) They shook thier heads "Sorry Miss, no entry" She froze a reccent memory coming into her head.
Her mother had called them into a room. She followed her sisters in but her father had stopped her before she had entered the room "No dear, you can't enter." And he sent her away with a chore as he shut the door behind himself.
She stared at the gaurds angery, but didn't show it.

Leopold turned his head, hearing a slight commotion at the door of the castle. Normally, a person wouldn't be able to hear such a long distance downwards but, being an elite Knight, he had been trained to have acute senses. He bowed apologetically to the Princess and Kaia, "Forgive me, but there is a matter downstairs that I must tend to."

Ivonette nodded in understand and he ran out the door. It was several minutes before he finally reached the castle gate, where a young maiden stood, glaring at the guards. Leopold pushed through and looked at her, "Is there a problem, miss?"

[Seras]

Aly looked at the man that had came forward. She noticed he was dressed well and curtsied the best she could in the clothes she was wearing. "I just needed to go into the throne room" She held her hands behind her back, they were clasped tightly. "Sir Leopold," One of the gaurds stepped forward "If I may say so, I would not trust the likes of her." The gaurd looked at Sir Leopold the whole time. Aly heard the insult but kept her face expressionless as if she didn't hear it.

Leopold looked at the guard through his unseen eyes, "Do not worry. I'll have her under control. Leave it to me. Meanwhile, let her through."

He nodded at her and signaled for her to go through. His expression remained serious as he waited.

[Seras]

The gaurds moved aside. Aly walked by, her hands going to her side. She was about to look down at the ground when a saying popped into her head. She had heard it when she was walking back from her mothers. She kept her chin up and held pride in her eyes. She stopped and waited for Sir Leopold. The Gaurds moved back, the one who had spoke up was mumbling something under his breath.

Leopold was about to follow her when he turned suddenly, his hand going to his sword, "Sir, if you wish to make comments, I will make sure you never serve the royal family again. Understood?"

He didn't wait for a reply as he entered the castle again and the doors shut behind him. He walked to the lady's side and bowed politely, "My apologies, miss. May I have your name?"

[Seras]

Aly looked away from the wall she was looking at and looked up at Sir Leopold, her hands sliding back behind her back, clasping together again. "My name is Aly, Sir" She continued looking at him, he seemed a bit mysterious, and he had a sword, she would definatly be careful now to stay on his good side.

[Jazzy_Angel1]

He looked at her a moment more before nodding, "Sir Leopold, at your service...but what does an innocent lady such as yourself want at the castle?"

He was right about innocent looking. She didn't look like the type who would come here on business. She looked more like...his sister. He swallowed away the memory of her death and returned his gaze, which had shifted to the ground, to her.

[Seras]

Aly had to look away when he said 'at your service' She didn't except him to know that she was at his service but quickly looked back. "I'm Princess Ivonette's maid, I've returned from my trip a bit early" She was getting a bit nervous now, she had come back early what if plans had been made. She started doubting her decession to come back.

[Jazzy_Angel1]

His eyes widened in surprise. She didn't very much look like a maid. He thought she had been a duchess or some other higher class. Although, it was strange that no one had escorted her. He nodded, "I'm sure she'll be happy to see you again, miss."

[Seras]

She didn't know how to respond to that. She thought for a second "Then if you excuse me Sir, I must not keep her waiting" She curtsied and headed for Princess Ivonette. She was a bit afriad that he would have cut her because she turned her back to him, but she was the Princess's maid not his.

He nodded and watched her walk up the stairs, heading towards the throne room, before following quietly, so as not to be detected. She was either intelligent, or had no idea of having a shadow, so to speak. But he was merely going along to vouch for her should any more incompetant guards try to stop her. He had no doubt she was the maid, despite her fair appearance. She didn't have the eyes of a liar, or any other evil, for that matter.

[Seras]

Aly made her way to the throne room, some gaurds eyed her curiously while others thought of something else. She walked into the throne room, she smiled, she walked further into the room and she stood before the Princess and curtsied "Good afternoon your highness" She held her hands in front of her instead of behind her back this time and awaited acknowledgment and possibly orders.
