Krillin vs Tien (Cont...)
DragonBall Z the next chapter, now this is when it gets interesting! lol It was during the
Saiyan Saga that the Scouters were in play at this point, meaning this to be the only time a
person’s powerlevel was to actually exist, unless it’s stated within the series (like I said
earlier in this Editorial). Krillin at the start of DBZ had a powerlevel of 206, but later
increased it to 1,100 (but of course this was his powerlevel being surpressed). Sometime
later in the Saga, while Bulma and Krillin were searching for the other Z-Fighters,
Bulma’s Scouter (formerly belonging to Raditz), picked up a powerlevel that was higher
than Krillin’s, and it was coming from the area where Tien and Chiaotzu were. This
would easily back up what my Rival claims as he stated: “the Saiyan saga there are power
levels which prove Tien's superiority.”, but this really proves nothing, true Tien’s
powerlevel was high, but it doesn't mean that Tien was stronger than Krillin back then.
When I 1st heard about this, my 1st thought was that the Scouter picked up Chiaotzu's
Powerlevel along with Tien's combining them together, like Goku and Piccolo's
Powerlevels combined when Raditz's Scouter picked them up, but at the same time, I
knew that wasn’t the case since Tien is the 2nd Strongest to Krillin, so I took into account
that my combination theory was really Tien's powerlevel at 250, from what I've heard.
Krillin's powerlevel at the beginning was 206, so that would make it seem like Tien was
stronger, but all it really means is that 250 was Tien’s powerlevel at the time they found
him, confused from what I said, it’s easy! Unlike Krillin, Tien was in the mist of training
when his Powerlevel was read by the Scouter and when a person trains, they’re trying to
benefit from their excercise, meaning their body’s limit is now being pushed to the fullest
extent. Tien's fullest was 250, Krillin's powerlevel was at 206, but it wasn't his fullest
extent, that was his body filled with Stored or Potential Energy, when the body becomes
active, the Potential Energy then becomes Kinetic Energy and when this happens, the
body is pushing out more Energy than what it had while standing still (Potential). Krillin
was standing in one spot not heightening his powerlevel so it read 206, but Tien was
training at that time, meaning his body was active, giving off Kinetic Energy instead of
Potential, therefore picking up his PowerReading to be at 250 (as well if you remember
Raditz’s encounter with Piccolo, you’d realize this is fact, because Piccolo’s
PowerReading shot up to 322, but then went down to 320 when him and Goku were
together. When Piccolo felt Raditz’s presence, it startled him, which could’ve easily
caused a slight increase in Piccolo’s Power, becoming partially Kinetic, but later on it
went down to 320 because he no longer felt any tension, therefore his power went back to
being stored energy!). So basically, Krillin’s fullest extent was never actually read on the
Scouters, it always picked up his Surpressed Energy, there’s really no telling what
Krillin’s full power was in the beginning, so we can’t just automatically assume 206 was
his limit, as well leading to the fact that if Krillin’s full extent was ever discovered, we
can’t say that his overall PowerLevel wouldn’t be higher than Tien’s! During the
preparation for the Saiyans, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, and Chiaotzu entered a Pendulum
Room inside Kami’s Lookout where they fought Saiyans from the past. Chiaotzu was the
1st to fall while Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha continued to battled against the Saiyans, until
they managed to get Krillin too, leaving only Yamcha and Tien. Though Krillin was next
to fall in the battle, this doesn’t make him any weaker than either Tien or Yamcha,
because when the 3 warriors tried their 1st attempt at defeating the Saiyans, it wasn’t
effective. Then, on Yamcha and Tien’s 2nd try, Tien used his Multi-Form to corner the
Saiyans, but as I said Multi-Form makes him weaker and not stronger, meaning that their
next attempt failed to do them in and they were both instantly throttled by the Saiyans’
awesome power! After testing how weak they were in battle against the Saiyans, Krillin,
Tien, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu were all beginning their training on Kami’s Lookout. While
on Kami’s Lookout, Yamcha and Tien sparred with eachother, this would also be the time
that Chiaotzu brought up that both fighters appeared to be even (Now if Tien is suppose
to be superior to Krillin, how is it that Yamcha, who is weaker than Krillin, raise his
strength to the point of almost being equals with Tien? As well, what does this say about
Tien, if he trully was the Strongest Human, how could he let Yamcha catch up to him?)!
One year has passed, the battle against the Saiyans had arrived and upon their arrival,
they’ve planted Alien Creatures known as Saibamen that Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha
battled against. Tien and Krillin were the only two Human Fighters there that defeated
these Saibamen without putting up much effort. In 1-on-1 combat, Tien easily
overpowered one Saibaman, while Krillin destroyed 3 others with one attack, Yamcha on
the otherhand was the only one that had an actual 1-on-1 even battle with one of these
creatures. Yamcha eventually gained the upperhand, but was killed regardless thanks to a
Self-Destruct Attack that was initiated by the defeated Saibaman. Soon the fight with
Nappa began, this is when things started getting in the favor of Tien, some if not most
people had even said that he was stronger than Piccolo when it came to the fight with
Nappa since both Krillin and Piccolo combined couldn’t hold him back, where as Tien
was able to battle and match Nappa blow per blow. During the battle against the Saiyans
almost anybody could’ve defeated Nappa. True Nappa’s powerful and all, but what some
people seem to neglect, is that he’s also an impatient “Hot-Head” who let’s his temper get
the better of him which causes him to lose concentration, which leads to making stupid
and careless mistakes (pretty much, Nappa would’ve been long gone in the battle if it
wasn’t for Vegeta being there to talk him into watching his temper!)! Chiaotzu the
weakest of the Z-Fighters could’ve defeated Nappa, when he summoned all the power in
his body both Kinetic and his own Life Force to launch a Self-Destruct attack that was
going to obliterate both fighters and yes believe it or not, it was going to work, throughout
the DragonBall Z series there were some characters that used Self-Destruct tactics on
their opponents and regardless of how strong the opponent was, the Self-Destruction
either always worked or was going to work (Example: Perfect Cell was going to be
destroyed by Android #16’s Self-Destruction if his bomb wasn’t removed by Bulma and
Dr.Briefs during his repairation, as #16 even stated himself: “No matter how strong
you’ve gotten Cell, you will not survive this explosion!” Then Cell himself was
weakened back to his 2nd Stage and used a Self-Destruct attack that killed Goku and he
was stronger than Cell in his 2nd Stage, because he was almost as strong as Cell in his
Perfect Form)! However, at the very last minute before Chiaotzu’s Self-Detonation,
Nappa defended against the impending blast saving himself just in time (If you’re not
convinced, remember Vegeta’s Remarks: “Hey Nappa, that Little Guy almost had you!”).
Tien seeing his close friend die, went into an all out rampaging fury and started battling
with Nappa. As mentioned before when Tien battled Nappa he was able to match the
Saiyan blow per blow, however during his fight Master Roshi (watching the battle on TV)
states Tien was fighting with rage alone, he still stood no chance of winning against
Nappa (rage can only make you stronger by harnessing and drawing strength from it, but
Tien instead let his anger blind him as he went into an all out emotional attack). Not to
mention Nappa was smiling the whole time Tien was fighting against him, if you
remembered what I said about Goku earlier on as he was smiling when he fought Tien,
testing the depths of his strength, telling him his flaws, and even defeated him in a way
that made it clear he had Tien beaten the entire time. It was the exact same case with
Nappa, unlike Goku who holds back for the enjoyment of a fight, Tien only looked like
he could keep up with Nappa, because the Saiyan was toying with him! Nappa
represented what Saiyans were about back then, they’re ruthless killing machines who
have an unhealthy sensation when it comes to fighting, and as Vegeta pointed out and
made it very clear in the Frieza Saga as he battled Jeice: “I tend to get excited when
fighting an opponent that’s weaker than I am.” and clearly Nappa was having fun with his
prey and in this case that prey was Tien. Each time Tien would fight back, Nappa was
tossing him back and forth like a Rag Doll, where as Tien couldn’t even lay a decent hit
on the guy! It was then Piccolo and Krillin planned out an attack stratedgy that was
hopefully a sure fire way of defeating the Great Saiyan. As they battled Nappa in the air,
both Krillin and Piccolo got good attacks off of Nappa (alot better than Tien could) and
Gohan would be the one that completed the attack to finish him off, but at the last minute
got frightened and ran off. With that plan failing, Krillin and Piccolo then took on Nappa
using their own versions of the Multi-Form: The Split-Form Technique (big mistake), but
were taken down effortlessly by Nappa as both fighters were struck down by one hit each.
It was around the battle with Nappa that Piccolo realized that when he’s in the air, he has
an advantage (Nappa can move faster in the air than he does on ground). Tien, after being
laid out for a good while, cameback into the fight with one final battle tactic. Like
Chiaotzu, Tien was going to initiate one final attack at full strength, summoning up all the
Ki within his body and the very Life Energy that was keeping him alive and fired it all at
Nappa! However, just like Chiaotzu’s Kamikaze Attack, Nappa defended against Tien’s
final move even at 100% along with his own Life Energy, his best efforts couldn’t get the
job done, he failed and he died. Before continuing, may I add that Tien wasn’t stronger
than Piccolo (for those who actually believed this was true), earlier in the fight, Tien even
shown a sign of intimidation in Piccolo’s Power as he said: “Wow I see Piccolo’s gotten
alot stronger, I’m sure glad he’s on our side.” Sometime after the death of Tien, Piccolo
was next to depart from the living world as he sacrificed himself saving Gohan by
shielding him with his own body from Nappa’s Onslaught. By this time, it was reduced to
just Krillin and Gohan as Earth’s only hope of survival (until Goku arrived of course).
Gohan, overwhelmed by his fear (once again), was easily tossed to the way side by
Nappa, so really it was up to Krillin to battle the Saiyan Titan. Krillin was at a 1-on-1
standoff against Nappa, Gohan was down, Goku has yet to arrive, and the majority of the
Z-Fighters had fallen at the Saiyans’ Supreme Might. Krillin was backed into a corner
and everything at that point was riding on him, with no way out, Krillin did what he had
to do. Krillin found his way out...Right through Nappa! Krillin managed to catch even
Vegeta’s attention as he took Nappa head on and even knocked the mighty Saiyan off his
feet with only two punches! Then as Nappa was getting back up on his feet, Krillin began
gathering energy for an attack that was going to make the final exclaimation point: The
Destructo Disk! Nappa obviously thinking Krillin’s attack was no threat, stood his ground
and even practically dared him to throw the Disk. Krillin threw his attack Disk of Energy
at the Cocky Saiyan and before it could reach it’s mark, Vegeta yells out: “Nappa, watch
that Thing!” Lastly, Vegeta’s final reply after his warning to Nappa was this: “The Fool!
What was he thinking trying to defend against that? That thing was going to slice him in
half if I hadn’t warned him about it in time!” Nappa had many close calls in the fight
against the Earthlings, but none as close as when he fought Krillin! Nappa evaded
Chiaotzu’s attack because he was in the air (his advantage point), so he managed to move
out the way of the explosion, Tien got a direct hit at Nappa at Full Power (Nappa didn’t
know Tien’s attack was coming until it was too late and pieces of his armor broken off, so
it was a direct hit) and he still defended against it! However, when it came down to
Krillin, Nappa not only met the ground courtesy of Krillin’s Punches, but he also met his
match as the Destructo Disk was clearly going to finish him off and Vegeta knew this,
otherwise he wouldn’t have bothered warning Nappa to move out the way! If Vegeta
didn’t find Krillin’s Attack to be threatening, he would’ve done the same thing he was
doing since the fight started: sat back, kept quiet (until ready to speak), and watch as
Nappa easily defended against the Destructo Disk just like he easily defended against
Tien’s Attack. When the fight against the Saiyans 1st started as Gohan and Piccolo
awaited their arrival, Piccolo warned Gohan of a Third Power that was coming their way
and to their surprise (and relief) it was Krillin! Before he knew it was Krillin, Piccolo was
actually startled by the power he sensed, where as he didn’t give the same reaction about
the other Z-Fighters, plus Tien gave up his own Life Energy to defeat the Saiyans, where
as Krillin didn’t have to go all out as he only needed to use his Ki Energy! One more
thing before moving on that I wish to do, is to put an end to this idea that some people
have about Krillin’s Destructo Disk being able to cut through anything. With anime
excluded in this description, Krillin’s Signature Move is powerful for what it is and what
it’s capable of doing, but how effective the attack is originally depends on the person who
is using it. Unless it’s an attack with special conditions, like the Evil Containment Wave
for example, trapping Evil Beings regardless of strength at the exchange of the user losing
their life, the Destructo Disk is just another concentrated Ki based attack that becomes
stronger overtime depending on how strong it’s user is. For instance, the Kamehameha is
a lengendary attack that knows no rival and was known to topple a Mountain in a Single
Blast, that makes it a pretty unbeatable move, but it doesn’t get that powerful just as soon
as it’s learned. Goku learned the Kamehameha at a younger age than Roshi, but only with
his training and experience did the attack start to live up to it’s fullest power, then after
Goku became a Super Saiyan, the Kamehameha, now just a basic attack, became even
stronger than it’s legend! With the body’s strength constantly increasing, attacks that are
Ki based will also be increased and Krillin is no acception, the Destructo Disk, much like
the Kamehameha, has proven itself a serious damage maker by effortlessly cutting
through hard structures, but also like the Kamehameha, it didn’t get that way just by
learning it, by Krillin becoming stronger and more experienced with using stronger forms
of energy attacks, the Destructo Disk better itself. Let’s not forget, that whenever a
person uses a strong energy based attack, the energy that’s gathered increases even further
than the User’s Full Maximum (Like Piccolo when he battled Raditz, he only had a
powerlevel that was in the 400’s, but after charging up the energy needed for the Special
Beam Cannon, he had a powerlevel over 1,300 and then over 1,400 on the 2nd try!)!
Krillin being able to takedown Nappa the way he did during the Saiyan Invasion, shown
that he was atleast almost as strong as him (I say almost because Nappa got back on his
feet with a frown that turned into a smile afterwards. lol), but once the Destructo Disk
was formed, that increased Krillin’s Strength further since he did have to gather the
energy to create it, making him for that moment, just as strong as Nappa, possibly alittle
bit stronger! The point is, the Destructo Disk is not an entity that determines itself of how
powerful it is, but the power that’s behind it’s force that determines it and in this case,
that force was Krillin, most people make it sound like there was no purpose or no effort
needed into making an attack as fierce as the Destructo Disk, as if the technique is an
automatic 1 hit finisher that spells instant death once someone or something is hit by it,
but it’s not! Plus, in case those people haven’t noticed, by saying that the Destructo Disk
can cut through: “ANYTHING” (as they claim it), what they fail to realize is that they’re
implying that the Destructo Disk is not only unstoppable, but is also the strongest attack
in the entire series, since it allegedly can’t be stopped! So even if what those people say is
true and the Destructo Disk can really cut through “ANYTHING”, they’re also implying
that Krillin’s Signature Attack can easily cut through other strong energy moves, others
like Goku’s Spirit Bomb, dispersing all the gathered pure energy needed to destroy
Extremely Powerful Villians or preferably, Tien’s Tri-Beam, while Tien fires the attack,
all Krillin has to do is slice a nice split through the middle with his Destructo Disk,
saving himself from the full frontal assault and giving Tien a surprise that he would never
forget, meaning Krillin could still defeat Tien, bet those people never took the time to
think about it that way huh? lol Another thing people imply that they haven’t noticed, by
claiming this they’re saying Krillin doesn’t even have to be a strong fighter at all, as long
as he has the Destructo Disk, he’s “Golden”, so in otherwords, they’re saying that Krillin
can have the strength he had during the Saiyan Saga, with absolutely no training or his
Potential Unlocked afterwords, then confront an opponent like Frieza, but doesn’t have to
worry, because he has the “UnStoppable” Destructo Disk that can take Frieza down
easily! It’s something bogus like that, which makes some people including myself think,
if that’s all it really took, imagine all the hassle on DBZ that would’ve never took place if
all that was needed was a simple Disk of Energy that can cut through “ANYTHING”, no
training, no other attacks or techniques are necessary to learn, just that one simple attack
and the conflict is resolved! Last thing, since it’s “Unstoppable”, the Destructo Disk
should have no problem cutting through the “Hardest known Metal in the Universe”:
Ka-Chin then, I mean, all it did was break the Legendary Z-Sword which has been around
for 15 Generations, possesses the Mystical Force that trapped a Kai inside of it, and was
even said to greatly increase the strength of whoever wields it, so 15 Generations is
nothing compared to an Energized Buzzsaw right? For those people, it’s as simple as this:
“It’s the User and not the Weapon or Attack, that determines the outcome.”, meaning if
they think the Destructo Disk can cut through “ANYTHING” and Krillin’s Power had
nothing to do with how strong it is, wrong, Krillin’s Power made all the difference,
there’s no such thing as an attack making itself unbeatable, it’s the user that makes it
unbeatable.
