Yoruichi was Soi Fongs best friend. And thats about it, but this bio has alot of info. (As a member of the Fong family, a lower class noble family, Soi Fong was ordained to serve the 2nd Division. Even as a child, she was told that her life would hence forth be made to serve Yoruichi Shihouin and the executive military. Originally named Shaolin, the young girl took her Grandmother’s codename “Soi Fong” upon entering the Core.

Naturally adept in fighting, Soi Fong worked her way up through the ranks in order to achieve greatness and gain power. Her natural speed and flexibility allowed her to stick out among the rest of her peers. Recognizing her natural abilities, those in command transferred her to the Executive Militia Commanders Personal Guard Unit. Ever since her first contact with Yurouichi, Soi Fong slowly connected to Yoruichi on a much more personal level. After looking up to Yoruichi her entire life, Soi Fong was finally where she wanted to be. With someone that she could depend on and learn from , Yoruichi’s kind and freeform nature was the perfect complement to Soi Fong’s complacent and structured demeanor. Teaching her everything that she knew, Yuriouchi helped Soi Fong progress to the level of Vice-Captain.
