System Of A Down: the worlds greatest Anti-Governmental band. And my favourite.
I want people's opinion: What do you think of them?

Anti-Oppression: SOAD
I need to watch things die, from a distance.
Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies.
You all need it too, don't lie.

Re: Anti-Oppression: SOAD
Umm. Some of their music is good, but a lot of it is unlistentoable. It pisses me off.
They generally suck live because their set-up is always too tinny and their albums are recorded with two guitars and a sythnthsiser. Live they have one guitarist and no synth.
Their lyrics are never above mediocre, some just plain suck. They tend to state random political facts.
In terms of being an anti-governmental band they're mediocre, but by no stretch of the imagination the "best."
Rage Against the Machine is WAY better from that aspect, and WAY better musically too.
"Americanize, Americanize
View the world from American eyes"
Midnight Oil kicks the [censored] out of them too. In fact. I can think of lots of better (as you said it) "Anti-Governmental" bands from both a lyrical and musical viewpoint.
You wanted my opinion you got it.
