Bayonetta

Bayonetta's supposed to be the next big thing brought to you by the guys who made the DMC series. From what I can tell (and read), it's about a witch brought back from death (or something) and fights off wayward angels (or something). Details are kinda fuzzy but a trailer i saw was very promising. She uses her hair like a weapon (can summon giant fists, ala Nero, with some high-heeled shoes) and she has guns on her feet, and not to mention, they make very good use of her 'body' as well. Seems like a great game, considering it's almost a year away. ^_^

I downloaded the trailor on XBL and, I can only say, it's going to be appauling. Visually, it's a complete no go. It looks like every other action game on the market (God Of War, Heavenly Sword, DMC, that kinda crap) of the same genre. It's going to play like all the other games of the same genre. Quite honestly, I'm not even going to bother with the demo. Imagine DMC 4, but you play as a chick, who, when she uses transformation magic, she feels the need to undress. A complete waste of Sega's money.

Good opine, Riko, but I think I'll wait until it gets closer to release before writing anything off permanently. Graphic wise, it looks great to me, and the undressing thing, while a little over the top, is basically what they showed in DMC 4 every time a woman came up anyway. I thought DMC 4 sucked big time but I did love the cutscenes, it was about the only thing I DID like, so hopefully they'll make Bayonetta an original action game and keep the dynamic cutscenes intact. ^_^

No such thing as an "Original" action game any more mi amigo. Everything is ripping off, sorry, "Influencing," everything. And in DMC 4, while a weak, but playable game, the women didn't undress. They just wore next to nothing. I think they do it because the makers can't pull for diddly. Y'know, thats how they get their kicks. If they put THAT much effort into making a good game, they'd make a damn site more money in sales. And speaking of good games, where's my next gen Bushido Blade?
