This is like my first time listening to the cd, so it'll probably change, but I always feel that the first listen is the best so I'll probably post again later.

Anyway, this is a definite departure from Pearl Jam's normal style. Even though Pearl Jam changes up their style a bit in each album, they still carry that Pearl Jam identity.
Anyone who is going into this album expecting anything like the other albums will be surprised. This album is completely different right down to it's DNA. It definitely carries more of a punk rock edgier feel to it. It's even reminiscent of the style of the early eighties music. There are glimpses of the older Pearl Jam, but the fixer was a great indicator of how the rest of the album is written.

Honestly I didn't know what I was getting into. I chose this album over Regina Spektor's newest album, and I picked it up only having heard "the fixer" a song that while I liked it at first, sorta began to wear thin considering the fact that it plays in target fifty times in a row, and on MTV all the time, and I don't even watch mTV. I still don't know how I feel about this album other than the fact that it is definitely different and most likely worth a try.

Also if I had to compare this album to another one it would probably be no code.
Yeah, you were right about me, but can I get myself out from underneath this guilt that will crush me? in the choir, I saw our sad Messiah he was bored and tired of my laments
He said, "I died for you one time, but never again"
