.hack//sign episode 1 & 2

Ok. At first... when I watched episode 1... I started to hate //sign.. I forced myself to like the series... but I turned off the tv when episode 2 came. Now I watch the whole episodes after I once saw the whole of episode 3. In other words.. I like the series.

I now regret not watching the rest of episode 1 & 2.. can someone tell me what the heck happened in episode 1 & 2?
